The glass breakage sensor (GBS) uses a highly sensitive microphone that can detect the specific frequencies of glass being struck or broken. In the event glass breakage is detected by the GBS, the vehicle security system will be activated immediately. The GBS is capable of ignoring noises other than those associated with glass, helping ensure customers aren’t inconvenienced by “false alarms.”
Note:
This kit has 2 applications, depending on the vehicle it can be a complete alarm kit (V5) for LE models or for XLE models with factory alarm it adds a glass breakage sensor (V2). This kit does not apply to CE models. V2 prices are different. PPO Dealer Cost is $112 and PPO MSRP is $165.00 RS3200+ (V5) can be added to LE models with factory remote keyless entry only. The GBS add on (V2) applies to XLE models with Factory theft deterrent system only.

The VIP RS3200 Plus (Vehicle Intrusion Protection) is a complete vehicle security system with alarm and glass breakage sensor for vehicles that already have factory keyless entry with remote lock/unlock. When equipped with the VIP RS3200 Plus, your vehicle's security system is activated immediately if the glass is broken or if forced entry of a side door (or the trunk) is attempted. The system includes a wide range of security and convenience features including: automatic rearming and re-locking, door ajar warning, interior light activation, panic alarm, rolling code technology and disabling of the starter.
