Q: how do I install the map update program
A: This is a simple operation. All you have to do is eject the old navigation disc and insert the new on. The system will update itself. About the only thing you may have to change is the region of the country you are in.
Q: will this new updated disc for 2009 Toyota Venza be worth the effort. I am not pleased with the 2009 Navigation System?
A: Well it depends on what you mean "worth it". The latest disc does not offer any new features. It only updates the maps and the points of interest. So if that is what you are after then the disc will be just what you need. If you are looking for new features (something that you don't currently have) then the disc will not add any benefit to you.
Q: Is this disc the current upgrade for a 2010 Toyota Camry Hybrid?
A: Yes, this disc was release in November 2013. It is the most current disc at the time of this writing. The next disc will not be released until sometime later this year. Probably the end of November.
Q: Does the voice change in this new disc? The one we have now is quite nasally sounding and hard to understand sometimes.
A: The only thing that is updated is the points of interest and the maps themselves. The voice does not change.
Q: Hello,What is the coverage on this update? My zip code is 45331. Last update did not have my area listed. Very upsetting and a waste of money. Before I buy is I was to see a coverage map.Bryan GeisGPS update disc86271-GEN06-13
A: This disc covers the entire country. There is not a way for me to tell what is actually on the disc. They do not give us details as to what is on the disc.
Q: Will the optimization code be improved for selecting routes? The current Toyota system consistently selects routes that are not actually "Shortest Time" when compared to my I-Phone. In our latest trip, we would not follow the Toyota route and instead choose the I-Phone route, and once the Toyota recalcuated, the trip time would decrease significantly. On a 13 hour trip, the I-Phone route saved us over 45 minutes. Also, are maps in the Ontario, Canada area updated? Too many times we put in an address and it takes us to a location that's not even close to our desired location.
A: All this disc does is update the map information. It does not update any of the features of the system. It only updates the maps and the points of interest.
Q: My toyota dealer said to order part #86272-hdd0700 for my 2010 prius but you say 86271-gen06-13. what is the difference and is one better than the other. price is bout the same
A: The number that they gave you is for a 2012 and newer Prius. The 2010 Prius with E7022 on the face plate takes disc 86271-GEN06-13.
