The ball mount is a mechanically engineered structural component, designed specifically for use with Toyota tow hitches in order to accommodate the drop or rise needed to match the tow-hitch receiver to a trailer. The ball mount features a protective paint called electro-deposition coating or "e-coat" to help protect against corrosion and the environment, along with a powder topcoat to help protect against UV rays and maintain its long-term appearance. All Toyota ball mounts meet or exceed all industry towing standards.

The Lexus ball mount is designed to optimize your Lexus' departure angle and to meet or exceed all industry towing standards. When used with Genuine Lexus tow hitches, optimal fit and performance is ensured. The ball mount is crafted with an environmental "e-coat" for corrosion protection, along with a powder topcoat to protect against damaging UV rays. Please consult your Lexus Dealer or Owner's Manual for towing and load specifications.

Note: Ball mount PT228-89445 does not include tow ball, sold seperately. Applies to accessory weight distributing hitch that hangs down lower than the bumper attaching to the side frame rails. Factory pintle hitch that bolts directly to the rear crossmember uses a a different ball mount, PT228-89340.

The Lexus trailer ball includes built-in wrench flats for easy installation - and meets or exceeds all industry towing standards.
